Frequently Asked Questions

  • The first session will be focused on getting to know each other and establishing our therapeutic relationship. I will ask you questions about your background and experiences so I can understand you better. We will explore what brings you to therapy and establish goals to work on together. You are always in control of what we do and don’t talk about.

  • The consultation call is a chance for us to talk and see if I would be a good fit for your needs. Research shows one of the most important factors of successful therapy is the therapeutic relationship, so I want to make sure you have a chance to chat with me before making a decision to book a session.

  • In New York, I am in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of New York (formerly Empire), and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

    In Virginia and Conneticut, I am in network with Aetna.

    I am also an out-of-network provider for major insurance companies. This means if I’m not in network with your insurance, I will provide you with the paperwork you’ll need to file with them for reimbursement.
